Nutella Hot Cocoa

I’ve been making this hot cocoa for years. In college I would make huge batches to feed the 5 other girls I lived with plus whatever stragglers found their way into our apartment. :) Winters were cold there, so hot cocoa was a must!

Nutella Hot Cocoa

(makes about 2 servings)

1 1/2 cups milk

3/4 cup heavy whipping cream

3 Tbsp hot cocoa powder

3 Tbsp Nutella

3 Tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Place a medium sized sauce pan on the stove on medium heat.

  2. Add milk in first, then add all remaining ingredients. Stir until well combined.

  3. Let the hot cocoa slowly heat up, stirring occasionally until the temperature is to your liking (usually about 5-7 minutes for us.)

  4. 4. Meanwhile, make the whipped cream.

Homemade Whipped Cream

3/4 cup heavy whipping cream

1 Tbsp granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla

  1. In a small bowl, pour in heavy whipping cream.

  2. Using a hand mixer, beat the cream on high until it just starts to thicken.

  3. Add in sugar and vanilla and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
